Challange Card

This is a card that I am entering into four challanges and I will link them at the end of this post. The first is "card for mom". My mothers birthday is in May so this is for that special day. The second challange calls for "Glitter and Lace. I found this lace at a crafters supply sale this weekend and I outlined Mom with glitter and also dotted the embossing on the circle with green glitter. Topped it off with a little Glimmer Mist. It's always hard to get glitter to show up in a picture. Another challange is to use three different textures. I have embossed two of the items, used lace and made a paper flower. The 4th challenge is a sketch to copy.

Challange Card

This card was designed to fit many different challenges I've ran across this week. The sketch was from Friday Sketchers and I used a new technique on the rolled flower from a tutorial I was sent. Flowers were stamped using a SU set called "Sassy Stems". Stickled the flowers and filled the vase with Diamond Glaze. Used the Cuttlebug "Script" embossing folder for the background and stitched two together.

Stitching & Embossing - Cuttlebug Challanges
Spring - Inky Impressions
Stamp - Practical Stampers
Flowers - Flourishes and Jacksonbelle

Critter Sketch Challenge #2, Stamp Something Spring and Just Buggin

I am entering this card in two challanges. Spring is the key word!

This is a new challenge blog that will offer a wide range of challenges from sketch to theme to color, etc.

This card is for their second challange which is using a sketch. I once again, dug into my scrap drawers and came up with this color combination. The three stripes are embossed with the Cuttlebug. Added to the sketch was the requirement that at least two brads or eyelets were used on the project.

Saturday Spotlight - Mess Around and Tuesday Throwdown #16

The challange today is to make your creation MESSY! Tear paper, distress with ink and make it messy. I took this sweet little House Mouse that I colored so carefully and tore and curled all the edges. Spritzed on some Glimmer Mist to age it a little more and tucked down the corner to display the sentiment "Believe".

Saturday Spotlight

If I cross my fingers and "Believe" maybe I could win a $15 gift Certificate to be used at the Whimsy Stamps store.

Unscripted Sketches #43

This was a twofer challange. They gave you a sketch to follow and also added in a combination of four colors. I chose to use a paper flower, cut from my Cricut "Walk in My Garden" cartridge, to add the rosy pink. Added a little Glimmer Mist to give it some shine and an easy, thinking of you, sentiment.

Bildmalarna Blog - Bring on the Bling Challange

I put this card together using paper from My Minds Eye Life Stories. I embossed the middle section with QuicKutz Flower Card added some Stickles and bling. Sentiment is from a new set I just picked up at a garage sale today, Stampin Up Happy Harmony set.

House Mouse and Friends - HAPPY / "Kewl" colours

I think these two little guys look pretty fat and happy to me!

Challange #2 for the House Mouse and Friends Blog. The challange word is happy. Use a House Mouse, Happy Hoppers or Gruffies image and make sure they’re HAPPY!

Day 346 Tuesday's Trio: Scallops - Ribbon - Ink Distressing

For this card I distressed a white heart with brown Distress Ink and a spritz of water. Crumpled it up and added Distress Red ink and spritzed with water. Finished the heart with Stickles around the edges. I cut a scalloped tag and shadow from Cricut Celebrations cartridge and hung it from red polkadot ribbon. Finished the edges with a Martha Stewart edge punch and some buttons.

The inspiration for this card was the blog 365cards.

Bildy Blog Challange

This is a color Inspirtation challenge...use the picture on the left as inspiration for your card. You can use the colors, shapes, designs etc. This challange is put on by http://bildyblog.blogspot.com/. 2/18

I was lucky enough to be able to use some of my many scraps for this card. Highlighted with Stickles and filled the vase with Diamond Glaze.

Valentines with a Twist

This card is for a Valentines with a twist on the Catch The Bug Challenge. Create a card, tag, layout or item that could be used for Valentine’s Day. The twist is to use non-traditional valentine colors, that means no pinks and no reds. I went with the color blue.
